Follow along in this post while we work on a bathroom remodel!
This bathroom remodel is in the same house as the kitchen remodel that is in our previous post. This is not a traditional “one day” bathroom upgrade (which we have before and after examples of in the bathroom section of the site).
We estimate this 2nd floor bathroom was added to the original about 40 years ago and has been “upgraded” once. The first step is to take it all down to the studs.
We missed sharing a couple steps on this bathroom with you, but it will be quick to catch up. After demo was complete we had to move a wall and re-align the plumbing. The bathtub in the previous photo was actually cast iron and had a surround built to enclose it – that was fun to take down the steps!
You can see from the pictures that the custom made vanity and storage cabinet have been installed, new shower walls built and tiled, and the flooring install has started.
