This remodel is of a small home that requires a complete “gut job”. The client requested a vaulted ceiling to open up the space. This first set of photos shows the combination of demo and temporary supports.
The vaulted ceiling has been accomplished, but not without some hidden issues. The intention was to remove the existing ceiling in the home and created the vault by supporting the existing structure. However, the existing roof rafters were not built correctly in the original home. With the new rafter and support work completed and inspected the remodel can continue.
